Prior to completing his residency at Louisiana State (Lafayette) University in Family Practice, Dr. Chesson received his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. In addition to his practice at Catawba Valley Family Medicine - Maiden, he is the CMO of CVMG and Vice President of Medical Staff Services at CVMC.
Dr. Teresa Stump is an osteopathic medical graduate of Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in California. She completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center while serving in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Ryan Greemann is a graduate of William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before joining Catawba Valley Family Medicine - Maiden, he completed his family medicine residency at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Dr. Anne Azrak is a graduate of Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before joining Catawba Valley Family Medicine - Maiden, she completed her family medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University where she was chief resident.
Cindy Pressler, PA-C, has worked as a physician assistant at Catawba Valley Family Medicine - Maiden since 1998. She graduated from Duke University with a Master in Health Sciences and concurrent physician assistant degree.
Dr. Sorensen is Board Certified in family medicine, graduated from Rutgers Medical School and completed his family medicine residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA. He has spent the majority of his career practicing medicine in rural communities like Taylorsville.
Dr. Deji Okuboye received her degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine through Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. Additionally, she is a licensed Physical Therapist. Originally from Clearwater, Florida, Dr.
Joy Duckworth completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing with honors from Lenoir Rhyne University. She furthered her studies and graduated from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC with a Masters in Family Nurse Practitioner.
