What is a catawba women's center?

Catawba Women's Center is the first and only practice of its kind in the Catawba Valley Region. The practice was originally founded in 1972 and added midwifery services in 1998. Our practice model gives women the option of choosing a midwife for their obstetric and/or gynecological care. The midwives work collaboratively with physicians in the office and while on call at Catawba Valley Medical Center. This relationship allows for streamlined coordination of care, ensuring you get the highest level of care. We are the only midwifery practice in the Foothills area that offers 24/7 midwifery coverage to our patients during labor and birth.

What certifications does Catawba Women's Center have?

All four nurse midwives at Catawba Women's Center are certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and fulfill state requirements as advanced practice nurses.
