How many patients should a family physician have?

Think about what a typical and ideal day would look like, and how many patients you can comfortably see on those days. Some physicians comfortably see 40 patients in a day, while others see half of that. Some physicians work part-time in clinic and supplement their time in other settings.

Do you have a patient portal?

With patient portals, the first and foremost thing you will need is a computer and a working internet connection. Create a customized user’s account in the software to avail medical services on your own. Welcome to Family Physicians of Gahanna

Our mission is to see each of our patients avoid illness, obtain the best health possible, and have the energy to live life fully. As part of this goal, we advocate for weight regulation, regular exercise, nonsmoking, control of blood pressure, stress management, and good nutrition.

The Importance of Physical Fitness

We believe that physical fitness is a very important part of a healthy life, which is why we have a special interest and training in sports medicine on every level. We recognize that obtaining physical fitness is not always easy because injuries and nagging ailments can occur.

Appointments & Referrals

All patients are seen by appointment. The receptionist will take appointments during any of the office hours. If an acute problem arises, please try to call the office before 10:00 a.m. so we can work you in that day. We try to stay on schedule, since we know no one likes to wait.

Prescription Policies and Information

We believe medication should be used sparingly - only when and for as long as necessary. Most prescriptions, for short-term problems need no refills; however, if a refill is authorized, please call your pharmacist. If you are on a long-term medication, refills will be handled at the time of your office visit.
