What's new at Lancaster Pediatric Associates?

On Monday, March 1, Lancaster Pediatric Associates will go live with our new Electronic Medical Records system, EPIC. While LPA remains proudly independent, we have developed a partnership with Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health that will provide our patients access to their powerful but user-friendly portal, MyLGHealth.

When Penn State Health Children's Lancaster Pediatric Center opens, it will offer Lancaster County residents convenient and comprehensive, high-level pediatric care in an environment completely designed for and dedicated to children, teens and their families.

In addition to Penn State Health Lime Spring Outpatient Center, 2221 Noll Drive, which offers a wide range of primary care and specialty services, Penn State Health’s newest acute care hospital, Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, is under construction and on target to open later in 2022. What is the mylghealth patient portal?

This community connect partnership allows parents and patients to use the program’s website or smartphone app to engage in their care directly. Effective Monday, MyLGHealth will serve as our new patient portal and will give you direct access to your child’s physician and care team.

What is Lancaster Pediatric Associates?

As your child’s medical home, Lancaster Pediatric Associates, Ltd. is a centralized resource for all your child’s medical care needs. You will be asked to choose a Primary Care Provider (PCP) for your child when you register with our practice. Appointments such as physicals, discussions, and medication checks will be scheduled with the child’s PCP to allow for continuity of care and fosters relationship building between your family and that PCP. Sick visits will be scheduled with your child’s PCP whenever possible. You may request to change your child’s PCP by calling our office. We will honor your request whenever possible based on the requested provider’s panel availability. You are an important part of our healthcare team and we encourage you to participate in all aspects of your child’s care.

What is patient portal?

What is a Patient Portal? 1 Patient health information such as, immunizations, growth charts, lab and x-ray results, current medications, allergies, visit summaries 2 Educational handouts that can be reviewed after your visit at our office. Educational handouts are available for review once you have confirmed your appointment prior to well exams. Review them before that well exam appointment and bring any questions that you have with you to be discussed at the appointment. 3 Communicate with your child’s PCP via portal messaging for non-urgent medical questions or concerns 4 Request a referral to a specialist 5 Send an appointment request to our front desk staff to see a certain provider and specify what office location, day of the week and time of day works best for your schedule 6 Request a medication refill 7 Request a copy of your child’s medical records or a records transfer

A full spectrum of care

Lancaster Pediatric Center will provide a full spectrum of care for children from infancy through age 18, including 20 medical and surgical pediatric specialty and subspecialty services. It also will offer consultations with expert neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons, as well as psychiatrists and behavioral health specialists.

Primary care

Annual checkups, sick visits, vaccinations and more – our pediatricians are experts at managing your child’s health and will be by your side keeping your child healthy from birth through young adulthood.

Walk-in Care

Our walk-in care will make it easy to see a primary care physician without an appointment, when your child’s condition isn’t serious enough for an emergency room visit.

Imaging and laboratory services

Adding to the convenience for patients and their families, the outpatient center will provide comprehensive imaging and laboratory services.

Behavioral health

The experts at Lancaster Pediatric Center will provide compassionate treatment close to home for children, adolescents and teens with a wide range of mental and behavioral health issues.
