You can schedule many types of diagnostic exams, tests and some surgeries using our main Central Scheduling phone number. Below is a menu to help you navigate the system:

Scheduling a surgery

When you call to schedule a surgery, you will be prompted again based on the location where the surgery will be performed. Press 1 for Fore River or 2 for State Street. If you are not sure, you can press 1 and our scheduling staff will be able to assist you.

Scheduling a blood draw

Scheduling and registration for laboratory services provided are available on a walk-in basis between 8 am and 4:30 pm for most blood draws. However, glucose tolerance tests, lactose intolerance tests, and ACTH Stimulation tests should be scheduled through Central Scheduling by calling (207) 879-3737.

Scheduling an exam

To schedule a diagnostic exam you will need an order from your physician. Your physician’s office will provide the order to Mercy, contact your insurance company for approval for payment, and schedule your appointment at a time that is convenient for you.
