We are excited to announce that Ascension Sacred Heart will be using a new vendor for our Patient Portal for your hospital-based health information. Your patient portal will include components of your medical record from hospital stays at Ascension Sacred Heart hospitals.

HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital offers our patients one of the easiest tools for health care management. MyHSHS powered by MyChart is a free online personal health record that you can access securely from your home computer, laptop or mobile device.

Please note that the Ascension Patient Portal does not include records from your Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart visits. To access this information, you will sign up for the Medical Group Patient Portal with these steps:
Step 1: You will receive an email invitation to create your patient portal account. Click on the link provided in the email to start the registration process. Step 2: Enter your Date of Birth, and then fill out the Username and Password fields. Email Address and Phone Number are optional.
After each admission to the hospital a new summary of care document will post to your patient portal. You may access the document any time after you are discharged. Once the initial email has been sent, the patient or authorized representative will not be sent new emails with each new visit.

Can my family/friends access the information found on my Portal? Yes, but only after you have given them permission. As a patient of St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital, you can choose to give an authorized representative access to specific hospital visits. You will be asked this information during the admission process.
In compliance with the federal government’s Meaningful Use Initiative, all hospitals will soon be required to provide patients (and/or a patient-authorized user) access to their patient record electronically.

There are two cash machines located on the Providence Sacred Heart campus. In the main tower the cash machine is on the L3 level just outside the cafeteria entrance. You can also access the cash machine in the Doctor’s Building West Tower outside the Washington Trust Bank branch.
If you accidentally bring valuables to the hospital, send them home with a friend or family member. Note: Sacred Heart Medical Center is not responsible for lost items. Meals & room service. For your convenience, a patient menu is located in your room, listing the options you have for meals and snacks.
Family waiting areas. Family waiting rooms are located throughout the medical center. Each floor of the main tower has a small waiting room off the elevator lobby. The Children’s Hospital and Women’s Center also have a waiting room on each floor.
Dinner: 4:30 - 7 p.m. The Café is located on Lower Level 3 (L3) of the hospital. Soups, salads, sandwiches, beverages and other items are available between meal times, as is the coffee/espresso service. The Snack Bar, also on L3, is open 24 hours. Vending machines provide an assortment of food and beverages.
