Southwoods Imaging has the newest and most technologically advanced imaging equipment in the area. Equipment that is 10+ years old does not have the same technological capabilities therefore will not produce the best imaging picture quality.
Yes. The quality of CT imaging is related to the number of slices a scanner produces during an exam. Southwoods’ 64-slice CT scanner provides a high level of detail, enabling more accurate diagnoses. Some freestanding imaging centers in our region use CT equipment with a range of only 2 to 8 slices.

The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods is committed to working with consumers, insurance companies and policymakers to promote price transparency in support of better health, more cost effective services and patient-centered care. Southwoods accepts most major insurance carriers and encourages you to contact your carrier directly, prior to receiving services, for the most accurate estimate of out-of-pocket costs. Southwoods Express Care is able to get you the attention and care you need when you can’t get in to see your doctor or you want to bypass the emergency room wait.
