With a patient portal, you can:
Access Patient Portal. Click Settings > Patient Portal . The Patient Portal Dashboard page launches in a web browser. An alternate way to access the Patient Portal is to: Open a web browser and type portal.kareo.com in the address bar. Click For Doctors on the bottom. The Patient Portal landing page opens. Click Sign in on the upper right.
Telehealth is a great way to get the health care you need while still practicing social distancing. Telehealth — sometimes called telemedicine — is the use of electronic information and telecommunication technologies to provide care when you and the clinician aren’t in the same place at the same time.
The patient portal is strictly for appointment scheduling, form submission, secure messaging and medical record keeping. Your live telehealth appointment will be conducted through an individual doxy.me provider link. This link will be emailed to you at the time of your visit. You can also find it in your patient portal under the Appts Tab.
To Register for your Patient Portal you will need: 1 Create a unique User Name 2 Student ID # 3 Student E-Mail Address 4 First Name 5 Last Name 6 Birth Date

When sending a secure message via your patient portal directly to an individual provider this can affect their response time. The mission of the Student Health Services (SHS) is to promote academic excellence, enrich the student experience, and support retention by providing high-quality, accessible, and comprehensive medical care to students with a focus on multidisciplinary services, health education, and prevention.
Dental Care. The SHS dental clinic has resumed routine preventative and diagnostic services. Please call (951) 827-3039 to be screened by our staff Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4:30 p.m., and Thursdays from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4:30 p.m. You must complete the Student Symptom Survey before your appointment.
Current Students: For release of information, please sign in to your online UCR student health portal to complete your request. Review the release of information instructions for more details on submitting your request. For all other requests for information requiring a signature, please download and complete the Release of Information Authorization Form.
If you are a student*, the University of California follows the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA) the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other applicable laws that apply to the use and disclosure of your health information.
For emergency care after hours, please visit the emergency room.
Remember that you must complete the Daily Wellness Check before coming on to campus. You will not be allowed to enter the SHS building for medical and dental appointments or pharmacy pick-up or drop-offs without clearance.
UC Riverside now offers students who have opted out of the University of California Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP) an alternative for receiving basic medical care at SHS — Highlander Care.
On the Daily Health Self-check, individuals answering any question in the affirmative will be prompted to stay at home and complete the online Self-isolation Form. Submission of the Self-isolation Form prompts multiple actions from Facility Services and the Contact Tracing Team, as well as University Housing or the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life for those residing in on-campus housing.
All other appointments must scheduled by calling the Telephone Triage Nurse at 865-974-5080. Drop-in or walk-in assessments are not permitted at this time. Appointments can be made by logging into the Patient Portal. If you have the university Student Health Insurance Plan, you have access to a 24/7 nurse line and telehealth appointments by calling 800-581-0368 . Virtual Health appointments are available to policyholders at no cost.
The Student Health Center (SHC) provides primary and preventative care to currently enrolled students who have paid the medical services fee along with their tuition.
We strongly recommend that you use PatientLink (not email) for any confidential communication with health care providers at Health Services. Through PatientLink, you can view and print your immunization records and communicate securely with Health Services.
