Where can I register as a patient at TriStar health?

The Patient Registration Department of TriStar Health welcomes you as a patient. The main admitting area is located on the first floor of the Physician Specialty Center. It is open for registration from 5:30 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We are happy to answer any questions you might have concerning your visit by calling (270) 793-2038.

Central Scheduling

The majority of routine, outpatient and inpatient appointments are made through the central scheduling office. When calling to make an appointment, the following information should be available:

Pre-register for your hospital visit

Complete pre-registration paperwork from the comfort of your own home.

Make an appointment with a provider

Find a doctor or nurse practitioner and schedule your office visit online.

CareNow web check-in - Urgent Care

Check in online to lessen the amount of time you spend waiting at the office.

How to contact the hospital for a third party call?

Your family may reach you by calling the hospital at (615) 769-4636 and requesting to be connected to your room.

Can you share your health information with anyone else?

We want to keep you, and any significant others you choose, informed about your care. However, we are not permitted to share any personal health information about you with anyone else, unless they can provide your individualized pass code. This is to protect your privacy. Additionally, if you have requested to be a "confidential patient", your name will not be listed in the hospital's Information Directory. This means if anyone calls or comes to visit you, we will not be able to confirm that you are here or what your room number is. Neither mail nor flowers can be delivered to your room.

Preparation Instructions

CT Scan: An intravenous injection may Be required for your CT scan. Daily medications can be taken. No solid food 4 hours prior to injection, it is encouraged to hydrate yourself, drinking 8 to 10 full glasses of water the evening prior to your exam. If you have had a recent plain X-ray of the area to be scanned, please bring it with you.

Gastrointestinal Studies

Barium Enema: You MUST complete bowel prep prior to your exam. Please call the number above for more details unless your physician gave you instructions in their office.

General Radiology Procedures

IVP: You MUST purchase Magnesium Citrate at least one day prior to your exam. Follow instructions on the bottle. Do not eat or drink anything 8 hours prior to the exam. You may take any medications with water. Hydrate with water the evening prior to exam. 8 to 10 full glasses.

Ultrasound Exams

Ultrasound Pelvis and/or OB: For pelvic area and obstetrical exams, drink four 8-ounce glasses of water to be completed an hour before the exam (a full bladder is needed to visualize pelvic organs).

MHS GENESIS Patient Portal

MHS GENESIS is the new secure patient portal for TRICARE. It will eventually deploy to all military medical and dental facilities worldwide and replace the TOL Patient Portal.
