Patients of UChicago Medicine (including students who have been treated at UCM) can continue to use MyChart for any care received at UChicago Medicine.

How long does it take for a University of Chicago activation code to work?

You have 30 days to set up your account. The code will only work for 30 days, then for your security, your activation code will be invalid and no longer work. The code will also no longer work after the first time you use it. If you need a new activation code, you can call the University of Chicago Medicine at 1-844-442-4278.

When does proxy access end for UCMC?

According to UCMC policy, proxy access will change to a limited version on the child's 12th birthday and will end on the child's 18th birthday. For children birth to 12 Years of Age: Parents and legal guardians are provided with full access to their child's MyChart account.

How long does MyChart activation code last?

Once your information has been verified, you will receive an email within 7 business days with your activation code and instructions on how to log in to your MyChart account. Most test results such as labs, radiology and pathology will be released to MyChart within 7 business days of receipt by your provider as well as historical results since 2013.

Do you need a signature for MyChart?

Adult to Adult MyChart access does need a signature from both the patient and proxy. You are not able to ask questions on MyChart about another person’s information. This is because that information would then be in your health record and not in the correct health record of the other person.

What is a chaplain?

Chaplains offer spiritual, emotional and religious support 24 hours a day, seven days a week for patients and family members . Our clinically trained chaplains are available to support both inpatients and outpatients. Devotional material, sacraments, rosaries, electrical Sabbath candles, meditation cushions and prayer rugs are available upon request. Can students check in to Zoom?

Students can check in to their appointments and connect to Zoom for their counseling or psychiatry sessions through the my.WellnessPortal. Students will also receive appointment reminders from the portal and can communicate directly with their providers via secure messaging.
