What is the patient portal and how does it work?

The patient portal is a free service that offers you personal and secure online access to your medical records and manage and your care. Learn more about how to sign up. Download the MyChart app for Apple or Android devices to access your health records, communicate with your providers and schedule an appointment.

What is uiui Health’s MyChart?

UI Health has launched MyChart to provide you better access and management of your electronic health record! Manage your appointments, cancellations, get reminders, and review past appointments; also signup for “Fast Pass” to get alerts when an earlier appointment opens up. Meet with your healthcare team from your smartphone or computer.

How can I get more access to my medical information?

Option 1 – During your next visit to UI Health

Our service desk will ask for your e-mail address and a one-time-use security question to start your account.

Option 2 – Self-enrollment from anywhere

If you have your Medical Record Number (MRN) or if we have your e-mail address on file, you can sign up for the portal remotely. Your MRN will be printed on your visit summary and discharge paperwork. You must be over age 18 to enroll.

About the Cures Act

The 21st Century Cures Act is a federal mandate that is designed to give patients more access to their medical information. As of March 31, 2021, UI Health is providing test results and provider notes (with a few exceptions) will be released via the MyChart patient portal as soon as they are available.
