What is Legacy Health?

Security and Confidentiality – Legacy Health is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your medical information. We afford the same degree of confidentiality to medical information stored in MyHealth as is given to medical information stored by Legacy Health in any other medium. We limit Legacy Health employees' access and ability to enter or view information based upon their role in your care. Firewalls, passwords, encryption, and audit trails are further used to safeguard your information. We keep a record of all access to MyHealth, including the date and time of access by a patient, proxy, or Legacy Health staff. We will take all appropriate steps to ensure information received from our online visitors is as secure as possible against unauthorized access and use.

How long does Legacy Health take to respond to an electronic inquiry?

Because the clinic staff required to respond to an electronic inquiry or other communication may not be immediately available, you should allow at least three (3) business days for a response. Emergency situations requiring immediate attention should not be submitted electronically.

How does MyHealth protect your medical information?

As a MyHealth user, your role in maintaining the security of your medical information is: 1) changing your password on a regular basis, and 2) keeping your login ID and password confidential.

How old do you have to be to get a MyHealth account?

Minor Eligibility – You may request a MyHealth account if you are 14 years of age or older. Parents or guardians of minor children may request a MyHealth account on behalf of their minor children as well as access to their minor child's account by following the terms outlined in the "Proxy Access" section below.

How old do you have to be to get access to MyHealth?

In the case of minor children age 13 and younger, such access will only be granted to parties with parental rights or legal guardianship over the MyHealth account holder.

Can Legacy Health revoke a proxy?

If the proxy's legal relationship with the account holder changes, the proxy is required to inform the clinic immediately. Legacy Health reserves the right to revoke proxy access at any time for any reason.
