Shuttle Service to UMMC

We offer a daily free shuttle between UM UCMC in Bel Air and UMMC in downtown Baltimore that runs Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Visitors

As long as it is helpful, family — as you, the patient, define it — is welcome 24 hours a day, in most circumstances. Other guests can visit from 10 am to 9 pm depending on your unit. You have the right to withdraw visitations privileges from anyone during your stay. See more in our Visiting Guidelines.

What if my provider is not a member of the Patient Portal?

What if my provider is not a member of Patient Portal? All CHC providers are enrolled in the Patient Portal. If you are not a patient of Chesapeake Health Care, your request for access will be revoked. CHC does not release records from non-CHC providers to the Patient Portal.

How long does it take to log out of Patient Portal?

While logged into Patient Portal, if your keyboard remains idle for 15 minutes or more , you will be automatically logged out of Patient Portal. We recommend that you log out of your Patient Portal session if you need to leave your computer for even a short period of time.

If your phone number or your cell phone number has changed, the system cannot authenticate it . If you continue with login issues, please contact the Patient Portal Support Team for assistance at (410) 651-1000.

Can you use Patient Portal for urgent messages?

Patient Portal is NOT to be used for urgent messages. If you need to contact your provider immediately, please call them directly. You can expect your provider/staff to contact you within 2 business days of your Patient Portal message.

What is a request for medical records?

Request Medical Records. The information contained in the patient's medical record is the property of the patient. The record is the property of the hospital, to which UMMS is the custodian of that record. The patient does not automatically receive a copy of his/her medical record upon discharge from the hospital.
