How to get your patients to use your patient portal?

With a patient portal, you can:

  • Make appointments (non-urgent)
  • Request referrals
  • Refill prescriptions
  • Check benefits
  • Update insurance or contact information
  • Make payments to your provider's office
  • Complete forms
  • Ask questions through secure e-mail

How to access patient portal?

Access Patient Portal. Click Settings > Patient Portal . The Patient Portal Dashboard page launches in a web browser. An alternate way to access the Patient Portal is to: Open a web browser and type portal.kareo.com in the address bar. Click For Doctors on the bottom. The Patient Portal landing page opens. Click Sign in on the upper right.

How do I enroll in the patient portal?

How to Log In

All registered students at the University already have an account established in the my.WellnessPortal. To activate your account, please do the following:

Overview

UChicago Student Wellness strives to make it convenient for students to make appointments, communicate with clinicians, and access health records. We have one integrated health record system for all your activity with UChicago Student Wellness: my.WellnessPortal.

Transition from MyChart

Patients of UChicago Medicine (including students who have been treated at UCM) can continue to use MyChart for any care received at UChicago Medicine.

Immunization Compliance

Students can currently submit proof of their required immunizations via the my.WellnessPortal.

Counseling and Psychiatry

Students can book their initial counseling appointments online via the my.WellnessPortal or by calling 773.834.WELL during business hours, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Medical

Documents requiring student attention or completion will be listed in the “Medical Clearances” or “Forms” sections of the portal. Students may also need to complete a survey shortly before their appointment; if so, it will be available to complete in the “Survey Forms” section.

Secure Messaging

The portal’s secure messaging feature provides students with a HIPAA-compliant means of communicating with providers that will protect your privacy. To message a counselor, psychiatrist, or provider, you must have seen that staff member before you can initiate a secure message. Please do not send secure messages for urgent matters.
