The Patient Portal’s secure messaging feature also allows us to keep you informed about important health information and key office-related items that impact you, such as office weather closures. Other features of the Patient Portal include: 24/7 access to your personal health record, including visit summaries and lab results.

What is NPOP testing?

NPOP provides VA facilities with genetic testing of specimens so Veterans can receive targeted treatment with the least side effects.

What is the VA's genetic testing program called?

The VA has a new program called PHASER, that offers genetic testing to tell us how your body responds to about thirty commonly used medicines. Although you might not be on one of these medicines now, we know that half of patients will be given one of those medicines in the next three years.

Where are the results of a phaser test stored?

The test results for this one-time blood test, are stored in your patient chart, so your doctor will have access to the results when needed. If you have questions or are interested, please talk with your doctor so they can order the PHASER test.
