The Zoster Eye Disease Study (ZEDS), supported by the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health, aims to determine the best treatment to reduce the complications of herpes zoster ophthalmicus, also referred to as shingles of the eye.

Office Hours & Appointments

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., by appointment only. In the event that you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can reschedule your appointment and accommodate other patients’ needs.

Emergencies

On evenings, weekends and major holidays, we have a physician on call for emergencies. When you call the office, an answering service representative will page the physician. If you have an anonymous call blocking device on your phone, you must remove it in order for the physician to call you.

Prescriptions and Refills

Please request any new prescriptions or refills during regular office hours, or your request will be handled the next business day. Please do not wait until you are completely out of your medication to contact us. Allowing your pharmacy a 2-3 day notice to handle this for you is most helpful in obtaining your medications without interruptions.

Please Schedule Ahead

Routine visits are scheduled in advance. It is advised that all annual eye exams be scheduled several months ahead of time as these appointments fill up quickly.

How to set your device up for telemedicine

Please install the Google Duo app and complete the following steps prior to your scheduled appointment. This will ensure you are able to start your scheduled appointment on time. You may connect up to 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. You will be unable to connect 10 minutes after your scheduled time and your appointment will be canceled.
