What's new at LSU healthcare network?

LSU Healthcare Network now offers an online records request tool for patients and their caregivers that verifies your identity by asking for a photo of your driver’s license, which can be taken via webcam or smartphone. There is no additional charge to use this service.

How do I sign up for Ochsner LSU Health MyChart?

If you haven’t used MyChart before, you’ll need to sign up. You can enter your MyOchsner Activation Code if you have received an enrollment letter from us, or you can sign up for MyChart online if you haven’t received a letter or if you’ve never seen an Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport provider before.

What is the epic MyChart patient portal?

We have partnered with LCMC Health for use of their electronic medical record known as EPIC. With the EPIC MyChart Patient Portal, your doctors are at your fingertips. If you have an existing MyChart account with LCMC Health, you do not need to create a new account.

Is there a test available for LSU students?

Testing is available for LSU students with priority given to students who have symptoms or who are close contacts. Students who are symptomatic should contact the Health Center to see a healthcare provider.

Louisiana Law and Medical Recommendations

Louisiana law (R.S. 17:170 - Schools of Higher Learning) requires proof of dates of immunization against measles, mumps, rubella, and tetanus-diphtheria for all first-time LSU students born on or after January 1, 1957, and for reentering students (born on or after January 1, 1957) who have been out of school for one semester or longer.

Injection Clinic

Free Sharps containers are available for students at the LSU Student Health Center Immunizations Desk. Please return filled containers to the Student Health Center for proper disposal.

Allergy Shots

Students who need allergy injection administration must already have undergone allergy testing and have serum prepared; there is no allergist on staff at the Student Health Center.

Download the MyChart Mobile App

The MyChart mobile app lets you manage your healthcare from anywhere with your smartphone or tablet. Download the app from the Apple App Store for iPhones or the Google Play store for Android phones. Once you install and launch the MyChart Mobile app, choose Ochsner Health as your care provider to get started.

Many of our locations let you skip the registration desk at your appointment. Log into your account on your computer or on the mobile app to complete your ePre-Check, and then click “I’m Here” in the app when you park.
