Every function of your client portal is tied directly to your TherapyNotes account to ensure a seamless workflow. Everything you need to customize and manage your client portal can be found in your Client Portal settings and on the Portal tab of each client's chart. Getting started with TherapyPortal is as simple as clicking a checkbox.
Simply ensure that the parent's email address is on file in TherapyNotes for each of the children, send an invitation for one client, and link subsequent clients to the same account on the Portal tab of their charts. For more information, read How to Manage Client Portal Access.
Getting started with TherapyPortal is as simple as clicking a checkbox. Click the User Icon > Settings > Client Portal and select Enable your TherapyPortal.com client portal. If you've uploaded a logo to TherapyNotes, your practice logo will be featured on your portal automatically.

Quick Tip: When Text or Call, and Email is selected for a client, TherapyNotes always sends an email along with a text or phone call message to the client. If you do not wish to send an email reminder to a client, select Text or Call, and Email from the Appt Reminders dropdown.

Whenever a client completes your request by signing a document, uploading a document, or submitting a form, you'll automatically receive a reminder on your To-Do list to Process portal document responses. Electronic signatures and completed documents will be attached to the original document that you sent to the client in their chart, helping to keep your records lean and organized.
To reset a client's portal password: Click Patients > Patient Name > Portal tab. Under Client Portal Access , click the Reset Client's Portal Password button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Click OK. The client will receive an email with a link to reset their password. This link is only active for 24 hours.
To remove a client's access to the portal: Under Client Portal Access , click the Remove Client's Acces s button. A warning dialog will appear. Click the Remove Access button.
To enable TherapyPortal for your practice: Click the User Icon > Settings > Client Portal. Select the Enable your TherapyPortal.com client portal checkbox. Click the Save Portal Settings button.
To make clinicians available on your portal: Click Staff > Staff Name > Work Schedule tab. Verify that the user has a work schedule set. Work schedules are required to allow clients to view a clinician's availability on your client portal. To learn more, read How to Set Up Work Schedules. Click anywhere on the Client Portal Scheduling box to edit.
Once your client portal is ready to go, click the User Icon > Settings > Client Portal, copy the code provided under Link to Your Client Portal, and paste the code into your website's source code to add a link to your portal to your website.
To change your portal's color theme: Click the User Icon > Settings > Client Portal. Under Customize Client Portal, click the Change Color Theme button . To set up scheduling on your portal: Under Practice Scheduling Settings, choose who can view available appointments, who can request appointments, when a client should call to make an appointment, who can cancel and reschedule appointments, and how far in advance appointments can be scheduled.
You may begin sharing documents with your clients via TherapyPortal as soon as your portal and document sharing are enabled, and they will receive an email each time you share a document with them to complete. For more information on sharing documents, read How to Share Documents With Clients.
Click the Start Telehealth Session button. Your browser will prompt you to share access to your camera and microphone. Click Allow. Tip: Most browsers will offer an option to always allow camera and microphone access. Selecting this option will prevent your browser from needing to request access each time you start a telehealth session.

Any device with a camera, microphone, compatible web browser, and Internet access is suitable for a telehealth session. Telehealth sessions can be started by any clinical user who has an appointment with a patient with a portal account.
